Cocoa Mix

Submitted by: Ruthie Labarge, Groton, CT

I like to give home made things as gifts and often make large batches of these recipes and put them into pretty bottles for gits. I hope that you enjoy them.

Ingredients:
1 (3-quart) pkg instant nonfat dry milk (5 cups)
1 ¼ cups instant cocoa mix(not unsweetened (something like Nestles Quick)
¾ cup nondairy powdered creamer
1/3 cup powdered sugar (confectioners)
Myself, I use all store brands and it is just as good. For a different flavor use Hazlenut
or vanilla powdered creamer instead of regular. Texture is the same, flavor is different.

Method:
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, mix well.
Store in resealable plastic bags or tightly covered container. Stir mix before measuring.
For each serving: 3 to 4 Tablespoons of dry mix in a cup. Fill with boiling water, stir.

½ cup unsweetened cocoa
½ cup granular white sugar
1 ½ cups instant coffee powder
1 ½ cups powdered sugar

Method:
Mix all ingredients together in an airtight container.
To serve: combine 3 to 4 teaspoons with boiling water.
Makes about 5 cups mix. A thermos of boiling water
and this mix at the track, you have an instant hot beverage on a cold night.

Make up all these mixes. Put them in a nice basket with directions on how to use them and give them for housewarming, hostess gifts, Christmas or welcome to our neighborhood gifts.
People love them and will remember the thoughtfulness long after the mixes are gone.
