| Monadnock Speedways 2006
Spring Dash season opener took place on a beautiful summer-like day, Saturday, April 15.
The flurry of day-long activities delighted race fans. Action filled heat and feature
races continued into the night, highlighted by a 100 lap True Value bump and bang
competition. Both seasoned and young, talented, rookie drivers, alike, were in place at the high-banked ¼ mile track. Its hardtop abounded with champions, newcomers, division rookies and the tried and true Monadnock racing teams, each testing the waters. Mini Stocks led the feature race events. The blue and yellow #17 of Kevin Duffy raced to a checkered flag win. Mike Duquett in the #1 Sponge Bob car, checkered first in Strictly Stock Division, #8 Keith Carzello in Late Models and #24Todd Patnode in Outlaw Pro Stock. Enduros closed out the program with 4-cylinder #21 Darren Jacobs and Full Size #1X Randy Rameau each placing first in their division. TheTrueValue Modified Racing Series qualified a 24 car field for the 100-lap Spring Dash race. It was the series first race of the 2006 season. Two-time champion, Kirk Alexander, raced to victory in front of the capacity crowd at the Monadnock track, after successfully maneuvering four cautions. Spring Dash was the beginning, with promise of a season filled with excitement for both the race fan and race teams. |
