Red,
Charlene, Julie and Christine are birds-of-a-kind, as
the saying goes. These four lovely ladies are bikers. Their relationship begins at a neat
little restaurant on route 5 in Connecticut named Hotcakes LLC. Their connection is the
love of bike riding. Each lady is unique professionally, sharing a general likeness for
the bike.
Red rides a sunshine yellow 2003 Indian Scout, which she designed, and son
Jesse built. Her bike has a bow highway bar, chief seat and goatskin stowaway. Her Dad got
her on a Honda 50 at age nine. After that she was hooked. Red has 53000miles on her bike
in 2 years time.
Charlene had a Motorcycle Wedding in July this year. There were 71 motorcycles
and 160 guests in attendance on the 40 minute ride to the wedding site. Charlene rides a
2004 cobalt blue & black Screaming Eagle Deuce (only 1100 Deuces have this
color). Her bike has dual disc brakes and dominator wheels 1550cc.
Julies love for motorcycles developed early and remained strong into her
adult life. She rides a 1997 blue Sportster with titanium foot and handle pegs and lots of
custom everything. Say Julie It is a great feeling to just ride though she
enjoys charity runs and has won three 1st place trophys for show.
Petite Christine a chemist professionally, rides a 1999 cobalt blue Lowrider.
She rides for pleasure and especially enjoys the independence of riding her own bike
whenever she chooses to do so.
What entices these lovely ladies to ride motorcycles? Their reasons or feelings varied
from the feeling of peace, nothing better, time to be with
other people, yet by yourself, just because I can or enjoyment of
the open road. Whatever their reason they are happy riding motorcycles together,
alone, in groups, planned or unplanned but riding. |
