Lauren Gagner

#4 Jr. Outlaw

At age thirteen, East Longmeadow resident Lauren Gagner is an accomplished racer. Strongly influenced by Dad (Glenn Gagner a former racer) and Uncle Wade Gagner (who builds Karts for kids to race) Lauren crosses the Stafford Motor Speedway Outlaw Division start/finish line checkered flag mid-pack or better, every race.. She raced to seven wins in the Tiger Cub Division.

There is nothing Lauren would rather do than race. At age thirteen she is committed enough to the sport to prepare for what is coming up, whatever that is. Just prior to every race, Lauren sits in her car, closes her eyes and relaxes. That is way of preparing for the race.
Says Lauren “My hero is my Dad. He gives me awesome advice. I hope to race professionally when I get older and with Dad’s support I know I can do it.”

Jesse Hinze
#24 Dare Division

“If you aren’t first, you’re last” are the pre-race thoughts of young Jesse Hinze in the #24 Dare Stock at Stafford Motor Speedway. At the tender age of seventeen, Hinze has raced for two years with a 6th place best finish. His most memorable race experience was a particular race when going into turn two and seeing half the pack spun out. Says Hinze “I admire Dale Jr. I hope one day to drive like him.”

Rowan Pennink
#93 Whelen Modified Tour

Rowan Pennink is a young driver, new to the Whelen Modified Tour but certainly not new to racing. An experienced and successful Kart racer, Pennink had fourteen starts on “The Tour” in the 2007 seasonwith both a top five and top ten finish. Ending the season 17th in points. Pennink, Crew Chief Keith Flores and the Huntingdon Valley PA Team are sure to make their mark in the “2008 Tour Season.”

Joe Petro
#33 ISMA Supermodified

Veteran driver, Joe Petro, races on the ISMA touring division. With ten years under his belt, Petro has numerous wins at Star in the Supers Division. Says Petro “Every race is a memorable experience but racing with my Dad, Joe Sr, in the Supers was great.”
A software specialist from Windham New Hampshire, Petro takes his racing plans day-by-day. His race strategy is “Don’t panic”, a successful strategy for the lucky #33.
