Tayla Orleans
#83 - The Allison Legacy Race Series

Tayla Orleans is a racecar driver that cannot drive herself to and from a racetrack. It certainly is not because she is not capable but because she is thirteen years old, a few years too young to have a drivers license in Massachusetts, where Talya her parents Beverly and Barry Orleans and 4-year old sister Michele, live.

In her second full season racing Allison Legacy Series car #83, Kayla maintains a strong top five position, with two 2006 wins, thus far. Tayla and her family, travel to six or seven different tracks during a race season, including some southern tracks. The 4-cylinder, three quarter scale/Nextel Cup Car series race about thirteen times a season. They travel up to a speed of 120mph at some tracks, though 93mph is average.

The beginning was Karts at an early age and spotting for her Dad. Kayla’s future can go anywhere. She is inspiration for female racing enthusiasts and the development of youth racing programs, in general. Her aspirations are to race in the Nextel Cup Series. Kayla is a racer to be reckoned with.

Dave Nichols
#22 - TrueValue Modified Racing Series

Making it through True Value Modified Series qualifying is the challenge for David Nichols. He loves the sport of auto racing, having previous experience at Claremont in modifieds and with New England Antique Racers (NEAR). He was given the “Sportsmanship Award” in 2004, an award voted on by the TV Modified drivers. Dave likes racing at White Mountain because it is fast and has bite.
