The Senior Tour Auto
Racing (STAR) is a fun and rewarding racing division for long time racer Bobby Turner. A
37-year veteran of the industry, Bobby brings spirit to the Senior Tour.
Turner initiated his racing career at Beech Ridge in 1965 in the B Class.
Moving on to A Class, Turner won Rookie of the Year and a
Championship in both divisions before moving up to the Modified Division at
Stafford and Thompson Speedways in 1969. Turner sat on the pole at the 1st Spring Sizzler
in 1972, finishing in16th place after blowing a tire.
With many fond memories to choose from, Turner recalls an especially memorable race at
Keene, when he raced Ollie Silvia side-by-side for the entire race and won by ½ car
length.
He loves the sport and at age 56 is not ready to give it up entirely. |
