Coming from back-of-the-field and winning in the last lap is what racing is all about for Bobby Leone and his #03 Late Model Team at Connecticut’s Stafford Motor Speedway. Bobby loves racing, the great track and good people at Stafford.

For his second season in the Late Model Division, Bobby held his own. With 45 teams registered in this division, team #03 finished 22nd in points for the 2005 racing season starting in 18 of the 21 scheduled races. Bobby admits that Late Models are very competitive.

Bobby has four seasons in Dare Stock at Stafford behind him. With seven wins and many top 10’s and 5’s in Dare, Bobby was ripe for a faster paced and more competitive division. Late Models fill that bill. These Late Model seasons have been a learning curve and Bobby is a top-notch student in the sport of auto racing.

An East Windsor resident, Bobby is employed by the Department of Corrections. For pleasure, he enjoys Go-Karting with his son.

A passion for open wheel racing has made Vernon Romanoski’s partnership with the #5 Supermod team a strong rival on the ISMA touring division. Though his racing experience has been in the Charger, Super Sportsman, Pro Stock and Modified divisions, Vern has transposed that experience to the Supermods. His experience as crew chief for the #01 Supermod gives Vern additional working/driving advantage in this open-wheel division.

From Strong Maine, Vern is grateful to owner Kenny Chapman for giving him the opportunity to race in this division. Open wheel divisions are not commonplace in the State of Maine.

Vern, a construction worker by trade, also enjoys snowboarding and motorcycling but his true love is open-wheel racing.
