Ernie LaRose
Limited Sportsman #55

Driver Ernie LaRose has been part of the racing industry off and on for 10 years. For the 2004 racing season Ernie raced #55 in the Limited Sportsman Division at Thompson International Speedway. Owners of his car are Charlie and David Banta but Ernie is the man behind the wheel.

Ernie’s 10-year race career began in Pure Stock in 1993, then Strictly from 1994 through 1997. He had two 5th place seasons, two 3rd place seasons and one 2nd. With 32 plus wins under his belt in 3 different divisions, Ernie has raced at both Thompson International and Waterford Speedbowl. After finishing 3 consecutive race seasons in the top 3, Ernie and his team won the 2002 Limited Sportsman Division Championship at Thompson.

Winning is tough especially when you race against the top-notch drivers at Thompson. Ernie’s theory is to maintain your equipment and race hard every time you go out. At age 30 we can only expect a good many competitive races from Ernie.

Tracey Brovilette
Late Model #40

Who is Tracey Brovillette? New to the racing industry and not yet a “Raceworld Name in the Know” Tracey raced Late Model #40 at Stafford Motor Speedway for the 2004 season, his second season.

Tracey is consistent, which has been the most difficult feat for him to conquer in racing. He feels there is a lot more that he has yet to learn. Says Tracey “Even if you have the best equipment you still have to get past the cars in front of you in order to win and that in, fact, is the challenge.”

This Torrington CT resident is a Toolmaker by Trade and enjoys woodworking for pleasure. Tracey races for “The Competitive Drive.”
