Fred Nees Jr. from Stafford Motor Speedway's DARE
Stock Division is just 2 seasons into his racing career. He races royal
blue #4. Some years back, his Dad raced #4 at Danbury. Fred first
brought his #4 to Stafford in July 2003. His very first feature race
(and first time behind the wheel on the track) was rained out after one
lap. Of course, that meant that on his second race night he was in 2
features, one a makeup from the prior week.
With his great attitude and strong desire to race, Fred returned to
Stafford for the 2004
season. Of the 19-feature race schedule this season, Fred had 1 win, 3
top 5 and 7 top ten
finishes. Of the 52 drivers on Stafford’s Dare Stock Roster, Fred Nees
Jr. finished the season
15th in points.
Fred races once weekly and spends about 10 additional hours on his car.
He lives in New
Milford, Connecticut with wife Cheryl and son Patrick. His Dad and
brother Eric along with Ray Williams makeup the #4 team.
Fred Jr. is a maintenance electrician by trade and enjoys football,
boating and jet skiing for pleasure. |
