Richie Dearborn, a young-gun on the “PASS”, scored
his first Pro All Stars Series feature win at Lee New Hampshire on Sept.
05, 2004. He was the seventh different PASS winner in 2004 and the
nineteenth driver to score an All Stars Series feature win.
A down-easter, Richie is from Hollis Maine. He races #33, a 2001
Chevrolet Monte Carlo, in the PASS Series. The team Crew Chief is Dick
Dearborn, Chief Mechanic Joe Wallace and Tire Specialist is Paul Brown.
There are seven additional team members Ryan, Ralph, Robbie, Bonnie,
Deb, Kelly and Katie. Theirs is a family affair, with Rich’s parents and
sister on the team. Beech Ridge Motor Speedway is home track to the #33
team.
At twenty-four, Richie has seven years experience in racing and many
accomplishments. His first season, 1997, Richie was selected as
“Outstanding New Driver” and finished 5th in points in Super Sportsman
Division at Beech Ridge. That was just the beginning. The 1998 and 99
seasons brought solid 2nd, 3rd and 5th place finishes for the boy from
Hollis and prompted a move to Pro Stocks in 2000.
Richie’s love for speed and competitiveness is what peaked his interest
in racing. That and his families commitment and support is what keeps
him going back each week. The one difficulty he had as a young rookie
driver was getting respect from the older, seasoned drivers. They just
don’t like new drivers. He has proven himself several times over. |
