Robert Bedaw

#63 Strictly Stock

How does one go from being a welder to driving a racecar? Robert Bedaw managed the transition in small steps. He first worked on the crew for Modified car #54 as the welder and tire man. Robert then raced an Enduro for 5 years and has moved into Strictly Stock for the past 5 years. He is great to watch, a one man show. He drives and crews his #63 Strictly Stock racecar himself.

This Greenfield, Mass resident races at Monadnock Speedway in New Hampshire. His most remarkable race was in his rookie year, Strictly Stock. He was 3rd in points and blew an engine in practice. He borrowed an engine from the 1st place man and into the race he went. What made it most difficult was racing against his best friend, who was 2nd in points. Robert had to make some tough choices. It was the last race of the season and he finished 4th.

Robert is still a welder by trade but loves the thrill and competition of racing, his competitors and the fans. On his off time, Robert enjoys fishing with his kids.
