Stafford Late Model #82

To date, 55 different drivers have raced to Late Model Division “Victory Lane”, since the 1987 inception at Stafford Motor Speedway. This may be the season for Rick Lanigan and his #82 Late Model Val-U-Oil Chevrolet. Rick is in his 5th season of racing in the late Model Division. He was “Rookie of the Year” in 2000 and had some good finishes these past four seasons. His best finish in 2003 was placing 2nd after running 25 laps in the outside groove. It was a tough but good race. While racing in the Dare Stock Division, Rick had 4 wins in 4 race seasons and is confident that his experience will help pull some wins this 2004 season.

Rick races once weekly and has a 6-man support team comprised of Gil Cote, Bruce Bennette, Mike Metta, Rob Russell, Bill Burke and Pete. He lives in Stafford, Connecticut and is employed as an oil truck driver. Next to racing for fun, Rick enjoys fishing for pleasure.
